Learning How to Apply Perfume that Will Last All Day
A lot of us apply our favourite scent on and hope that it will last the entire day. Unfortunately, it rarely lasts more than a few hours. The length of time perfume stays depends on the type and quality of its ingredients, as well as how they interact with one’s body chemistry. Still, there are some tried-and-tested methods that will help prolong its effect.
If you have a skin that tends to be dry, use a fragrance-free moisturiser before applying the fragrance on. Note that moisturised or natural oily skin tends to hold in scents, releasing small amounts throughout the day.
Spray some perfume to your pulse points. These areas include your wrists, neck, or the areas behind your ears. They tend to get hotter than the rest of the body, therefore helping the sweet smell to dissipate.
If you are afraid of overdoing it on the previously mentioned parts, you can apply some on your arms and shoulders. When you do so, it will take longer for the fragrance to disperse. This action will complement the pulse points and lengthens the olfactory nerves.
Finally, you could put some of the perfume on a cotton ball, secured underneath clothing.
