Storing Perfume Properly
Generally, perfume does not stale but its scent and colour can change over time. The average shelf life of most fragrances is three to five years. Pure scents, on the other hand, last for about one to three years. Written below are some tips on how you can keep yours in tiptop condition.
The first thing you need to do is check out the strength of the perfume. Remember that fragrances that are stronger will not last longer as its eau de toilette version. To ensure longer shelf life, pick the milder variety. You will get more from it at a much lower price cost. Also, take the time to know how much alcohol your favourite brand contains. Note that the more there is, the bigger the chance that the product will stay fresh longer.
Always keep the lid on your fragrance of choice. When transferring some of it to a spray bottle, be sure that the lid is put in place securely and tightly. It would also be to your advantage to choose products that come in either opaque or blue-coloured containers. These vessels will allow scents to last longer as opposed to their transparent counterparts.
